About Kitana

As an intern, Kitana will be shadowing the events team and assisting with event planning.

Kitana is a student at Penn State University majoring in community, environment, and development and minoring in Spanish. She has a passion for gender equity and loves learning about agriculture and how it connects communities. She also loves how Pasa approaches gender equity from multiple dimensions, such as finances and advertisement. Through this internship, Kitana hopes to help Pasa reach their goal of helping women in agriculture reach their potential. She appreciates that Pasa provides free events and webinars to educate people wanting to get into agriculture and hopes to help by understanding the ins and outs of event planning.

Kitana is very new to the agriculture industry and is open to learning about how she can support local farmers and consume more sustainably. She is also in an all-girls acapella group, Savoir Faire, where she used to be the social chair. Planning events for her fellow singers to gather outside of rehearsals and performances is always a treat for her!
